On 3rd October, 2018 the latest Express Entry Draws were announced by the Government of Canada and the decided cut off of Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score was 445. That means all the candidates who secured 445 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points or above it is considered fit to apply for the Permanent Residency(PR) status of Canada.
While this cut off score bought relief for some candidates, it also crashed the dreams of many other candidates as well, who failed to score high and whose score was less than 445 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points and were not selected as the eligible candidates for the Express Entry program. In such case, the candidate is left with two choices either the candidate can increase the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score by improving the language proficiency, work experience, education or the candidate can apply for the Provincial Nomination Program(PNP) and get selected by the province of his suitability.
AM I ELIGIBLE FOR THE PR STATUS OF CANADA?
What are the benefits of the Provincial Nominee Program(PNP)?
Remember for Provincial Nominee Program(PNP) the most important thing is that you meet the demands of the province to which you are applying for selection.
There are loads of advantages of immigrating to Canada with the Provincial Nominee Program(PNP) and some of them are –
- You will receive the nomination of the province you have been selected for and gain 600 extra points against your Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
- There are some provinces for whose nomination an extra job offer will not be required from the candidate
- Some provinces have a very fast processing time.
- Most of the provinces will have a very low level language proficiency requirement. For SINP the CLB score of 4 band is also sufficient.
WHAT ARE THE WORK OPPORTUNITIES IN CANADA?
Which provinces will select a candidate with the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score as low as 400?
The choice and suitability of a province in Canada are completely based on your personal skill and preference. Rest, it is your experience and talent in correspondence with the occupation in demand in the region, which helps in determining the best place for living in Canada. Also, there are many other factors as well which play a huge role in deciding the province preference in Canada.
With a score of 400 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points all is not lost for the candidate. There are many provinces where the candidate can get selected like Saskatchewan and Ontario.
Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) has its own model of selection in which the candidates should score a minimum of 60 points on a 100 points selection grid. There are various streams of applying for the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) and the processing time for each category is different from another. The categories for application are:
- International Skilled worker (ISW) Category
- Saskatchewan Experience Category
- Entrepreneur Category
- Farm Category
Ontario Immigration Nominee Program (OINP) screens the application received and w.e.f September, 2018 the minimum score required by the province is determined by the director. All those candidates who meet this score are considered fit to apply for the Permanent Residency(PR) Status. In this form of selection there are three categories through which the candidate can apply for Ontario nomination:
- Human capital priorities Stream
- International Students with job offer
- International Students without job offer
The chances of selection in the Ontario province are bright as in August, 2018, Ontario asked for a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 350 as a minimum score from the candidates.
